I will work with a company that provides service to a company that does stuff, I want to work for a company that does stuff.

I will work for a company that writes it's own software, and belives that that is an integral part of wining in the market.

I have a list
I will go to a place that : 1. does it's own software
I will not again work for a cmpany that provides services to company that does stuff
I will work for a company that does stuff ( subject to my own whim of what the hell that even means )
it means at least not service providers.
no consultant gigs, no MSP.
also they must have demonstrated excutive committment to a digital transformation.
i.e. they have cloud transformed at least one app.

that a list
that's
they have to give a reaonable definistion of what devops means, and use it in a sentance.
they have to bake security in to everything
they have to start with best practices and go from therte.

LOL..
I think you might need to start this company
they have to no blink at mean when I mention John Boyd and the OODA loops.
definietly not.
I wat to get back to doing what IT was supposed to do day one: servie the business.
not "self justify"
I sohlud not have to defend an IT budget.
The success of the company should be the proof that we spend enough on IT.
They must care about excellence.
they must define it, they must evolve it , they must do it.

How many companies are on your shortlist?
I'm going to get head hunters to do with work.
