Windows 7 eats my disk

Perform the following steps:

  1. Click Start, type CMD in search
  2. Select CMD in the results, right-click and select Run As Administrator
  3. At the Command Prompt, type the following command and press <Enter> key:
vssadmin resize shadowstorage /for=C: /on=C: /maxsize=600MB

This should restore most of your lost size in Windows 7.
