Things I'll miss with Centos 7

Well the time has come for a hardware update for my mainline server Athena. Athena is an ATOM 230 board running gentoo since 2012. It was a rebuild of cydonia on the same hardware since 2009 ( atom 230 was released in 2008 ).
- emerge, portage, slots, use variables, and masks
- genkernel
- webapp-config ( this is big , I love separating having the software installed and available on a system from installing the soft to a particular vhost to a particular directory: flexibility!)
- mysql ( using mariadb now , drop in replacement so I'm not really missing mysql so far )
- gentoo's config layout for apache. I've just grown to know it, to "get" it. Centos7's is way different. Not sure I like it yet.
- dispatch config. I love that I can see how updates change configs, from the subtle to the crude.
- eselect , what a great tool, from news to complicated multi-version support.
The truth is that few people run one server with many services on it. These days a server is a much simpler unit.
Notes and disclaimers:
- I use redhat and centos at work, my home gentoo box is the lone gentoo box I do work on.
